A large police operation is underway in the Hastings suburb of Flaxmere.
The suburb’s Sunderland Drive was cordoned off on Wednesday about 3.30pm.
A witness at the scene said police had put up tape across the street and were stopping people accessing the area.
Police have been contacted for information.
