“Motorists are advised to take care around the area and avoid the area if possible,” police said.

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said the service was notified at 2.47pm and responded with two ambulances and one rapid response unit.

“Our crews assessed and treated two patients. One in a serious condition and one in a moderate condition have been transported to North Shore Hospital.”
