Like others in the series, New Zealand censors have restricted Grand Theft Auto VI to gamers 18 and over.
After its New Zealand debut, the game will become available in Australia, Taiwan, India and central Europe.

Online sleuths overseas are already figuring out ways to beat the system and play the game at the same time as their Kiwi counterparts.
According to US gaming site GameSpot, Xbox Series X|S owners will “easily be able to change their location” settings on their console.
However, those on PlayStation 5 consoles will have to try a different workaround that “isn’t exactly safe”.
“You’ll have to set up a new [PlayStation Network] account with New Zealand as your region and buy GTA 6 with New Zealand Dollar-denominated PlayStation Network gift cards from an online key retailer,” GameSpot’s Darren Bonthuys said.
Reactions to the workaround online have been mixed. Some users on Reddit called it “impatience” while others questioned why Kiwis had the opportunity to play before everyone else.

Grand Theft Auto is one of Rockstar’s biggest success stories.
According to Forbes, the latest game has already surpassed US$750 million ($1.3 billion) in pre-sales and is set to eclipse the record set by its 2013 predecessor, Grand Theft Auto V.
Originally slated for release in late 2025 and then early 2026, multiple delays and content leaks pushed it back until this month’s confirmed launch date.
Rockstar Games said digital pre-loading on PlayStation 5 will begin at midnight local time on Tuesday, November 10. On Xbox Series X|S, pre-loading will begin on November 10 at 12am GMT.
A disc-less game, code-in-box games for both consoles are likely to be available from retailers from November 12.
